Every household should own at least one cleaver. It is such a diverse tool. It easily chops through meat and bones and further allows for fast but smooth chopping of onions, bell peppers and potatoes. However, this cleaver is to heavy. It wasn’t as sharp as I thought it was going to be. Once I sharpened on my stone it did its job, which is to chop, but the handle is a big problem. It gets extremely slippery when your hands get greasy, when cutting meat. It would be much better if the handle had a better grip or if was better textured. Also since this doesn’t fit on my knife block it would have been nice to have a small hole at the end of the blade or handle so it can be hung.
