Ripley’s Believe It or Not! be on anyone’s list of places to visit when in New York City. I attended the museum with my young son and friend. It was our first visit to any Ripley’s and it won’t be our last. We had such a blast and will be sharing with you some of our favorite exhibits that you will want to experience firsthand when you visit.

Top 5 Reasons to visit Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Times Square
1. Oddities Galore!
The Museum is full of the rare and unusual. Everywhere you turn, you’ll learn about something new, historical and interesting. Every collectible has a bit of history as to when and where it was acquired and how its rarity made it Ripley’s exhibit worthy. With a variety of exhibits, you never know what exciting thing is around the corner!
2. Touch and See!
You can only appreciate exhibits in most museums from behind a glass; at Ripley’s that’s not the case. They encourage you to get up close and personal with its displays. There are many moving parts and visitor involvement to partake in. Each gallery is themed and has an element of interactivity to it. My ten year old son truly enjoyed being surrounded by live roaches, walking down the musical staircase, and running through the black hole. For the faint hearted, there is a way around it through the door for “Cowards”. They even have a cool LaseRace for those ready to test their stealth skills.
3. Photographic Proof #selfie
Ripley’s offers the most unique settings to take a photo. Be sure to have your camera ready. There are photo opportunities at every turn. From statues to preserved things, to the unusual. Ripley’s does a great job at utilizing every aspect of a room, from the floor to the ceilings, to the walls, and then some. It takes a detailed eye to take it all in to look for those hidden gems.
4. Experience of a Lifetime!
For this interactive museum, you have to SEE IT to BELIEVE IT. Words can’t always describe what is right in front of you. Photos help a little, but being there on scene, in the moment, really makes it memorable. The convenience of the location and uniqueness of this museum will make it a trip you will never forget.
5. Great for Groups!
Going with a group makes the experience so much fun! The museum is great for the whole family. Kids will enjoy seeing and playing with many weird and unusual things from around the world. They will never be bored and will enjoy the chance to touch and interact with all the galleries. Adults will enjoy the exhibits and the chilling, terrible, and/or strange tales behind them. Just watch your step and don’t back into any walls. Enjoy!
