Speed Racer Super Bright Rim Lights only lights up once put in motion, and thus will not require constant turning on and off. Based on LED technology (light emitting diode), the rim light will endure through almost any terrain as well as rough handling.

These work for the purpose intended which is to make your bike more visible at night and looking rather cool in the process. They are made of plastic with chrome like finish on the bottom, but that is fine for what they are. Had you paid more for them, yes you’d expect actual metal fittings, but these are an inexpensive option that worked correct in my experience. To install unscrew the middle part and remove a tiny paper square to activate the batteries, then screw the two halves back together. After a little testing by swinging them around, you can see they function properly. Screw them onto your tires and you are good to go; They fit and function very well and my son loves them.
