Sweet and Sour Meatballs

This is an easy, fast and simple recipe to make and has become one of my family favorites. This recipe has gotten me out of innumerable kitchen emergencies, including unexpected guests, finicky guests, and picky eaters (my son). My son don’t like meatballs so he rename this AMAZEBALLS. The recipe can be doubled, tripled, etc., freezes and reheats well. Chances are you have all the ingredients on hand and these make for perfect appetizers or party food.

Ingredients
Meatballs:
1 lbs. pounds lean ground beef
1/4 seasoned bread crumbs
1 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 clove garlic, grated
1/3 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
 Sauce:
 1/2 cup brown sugar
 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
 1 teaspoon mustard
 1/4 cup barbeque sauce
 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Directions:
1. In a large bowl mix together bread crumbs, egg, onion, garlic, milk, salt & black pepper. all of the meatball ingredients except the ground meat, and using a fork mix everything to combine.
 2. Add the ground meat and just mix everything to combine but do not work the meat too much other wise you will end up with tough meatballs.
 3. Using a cookie scoop, divide mixture into approximately 24 meatballs. Roll each individual meatball to be evenly round.
4. Place in a 9×13 casserole dish.
5. For the sauce combine ingredients and blend thoroughly. Put it in small saucepan until combined and sugar is dissolved and pour over meatballs. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. Serve over rice.
